IGNOU launches four new courses

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is going to launch four new courses for the new session.

The last date for filling the form is June 30. The course is either for six months or one-year duration.

1. Certificate in Tribal Studies: The course has been designed to study the development of tribal life. People working in the field of social welfare have been kept as the target group, however, the course is not limited to them. This course can be 12th or BPP passed student from IGNOU and the fee is Rs 1,000.
2. Certificate in First Aid Program: Workers in mobile ambulances, players, coaches, drivers, conductor, housewives and traffic police can also do the course. The subject experts will give full details of first aid. This course can be done by 10th passed student by enrolling at a fee of Rs 3,500.
3. Diploma in Event Management: This vocational training course is meant to give new dimensions to the youth in the event management industry. Those who teach this course will include known event managers and event planners. One time fee of Rs 8,000 is to be paid by 12th cleared students who wish to join this.
4. Certificate Program on Life and Thought of BR Ambedkar (CLTA): The impact of Ambedkar’s life and his views in all areas, such as social, political, economic and legal. This course has been started to explain all of this clearly. Minimum eligibility for the course is plus II and the course fee is Rs 1,000.
The courses are free for Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribes and transgender students. Handicapped students will be given scholarship by the Central Government for same.
