The boy after being rushed to Artemis Hospital by the school authorities, was pronounced “brought dead” by the hospital.

A close relative of the boy told TOI that Pradhuman’s father Varun Thakur was contacted by the school authorities and told about Pradhuman being in a critical state. His parents were asked to reach the hospital soon. He added that the parents were inconsolable and not in a condition to talk.

Currently the school principal, and four other staff members have been arrested for causing death due to negligence, according to the CCTV camera footage of the incident, where the child was seen playing a few minutes before the tragedy.
