Five students crash into a traffic pole in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi

Five students met with an accident at Mukherjee Nagar on Monday at 2:45am. According to police reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a traffic pole at T-point, Hudson lines.

The accident resulted in the death of two students, Ritesh Dahiya and Siddharth Singh, while the other three have sustained serious injuries.

According to reports, one of the female students was driving the vehicle and was under the influence of alcohol as there were bottles found inside the car. Her learner’s license had expired and October. The car belonged to Dahiya’s father.

The students were returning from a fest in Amity, Noida and were driving around Delhi University’s North Campus.

The driver has been booked under (304A), rash and dangerous driving (279) and drunken driving.
