30k+ Students Register for DU Admissions on Day 1, Open Day Sessions Begin

Delhi University admission season has begun in full swing with over 30,900 applicants having registered online at the DU Admissions portal and out of those, 5,600 have filled their registration form along with online registration fee payment.

This year the DU admission process is completely online. The registration form and fee, uploading of documents and later, even the college fee can be paid online. Registration for all categories including ECA, Sports, Kashmiri Migrants and CW is also supposed to be completed online, Hindustan Times reported.

Aspirants need to log on to the DU Admission Portal to fill the application forms. Registration fee is Rs.100 for General Category and Rs. 50 for SC/ST/PwD.

Students will only have to visit colleges for document verification of documents after the cut offs are released. This year, the university will release only five cut-offs.

Listed below are some important dates regarding Delhi University Admissions 2016:

June 1 to June 19: Online applications
June 27:  First cut off
July 1: Second cut off
July 7: Third cut off

The university will also hold open day sessions till June 11 at different venues. Several queries regarding Sports and ECA Quota, marks allotment for ECA certificates, cut-off calculations and migration were made on the first two days of these Open Day sessions.

June 1 to June 4: DU conference centre, North Campus (10-1pm & 4-7pm)
June 4: IP College for Women (10 – 12pm)
June 6: SGTB Khalsa College (10 – 1pm)
June 7: Sri Venkateswara College (10 – 1pm)
June 8 & 9: Zakir Hussain College (10 – 1pm)
June 10 & 11: South Campus (10 – 1pm)
