With the increase in number of applicants who registered online to over 3 lakh, there have been a few constructive changes in the DU admission process to undergraduate students. Recently, Delhi University decided to extend the last date of online registration for admission, from June 19 to June 22.
“The last date to fill the online registration form will be extended to June 22 and thus the first cutoff list will be out on June 30. The entire admission schedule is being shifted by three days,” said sources from the admission committee.
The change has been made by keeping in view that many OBC (non-creamy) category students were unable to upload their income certificates.
There will only be five cut-off lists, this year and the application process is fully online. “From registering to selecting colleges, uploading documents and finally paying the college fees, everything is online. This will save students a lot of time and hassle” said an official. The online registration for all categories, including Sports, extra curricular activities (ECA), Kashmiri Migrants, and CW (Defence) is online.
From this year onward, the students applying under the sports and extra-curricular activities (ECA) quota can also opt for the category using the centralized admission form.
DU aspirants are required to log on to the DU portal (www.du.ac.in) to register and fill the application form. Apart from filling the form, students will have to upload a copy of self attested mark sheet of Classes 10 and 12 and reserved category certificate. The size of the file should not be more than 200 KB. Similarly, the photograph and signature should also not be more than 50KB each.
A great convenience to the outstation candidates, aspirants can also check the college and the course they have qualified online and can log on to the DU Portal using the same registration number.
