‘Happiness Curriculum’ in Delhi Govt. Schools

Delhi government school students from nursery to Class VIII will be taught a ‘happiness curriculum’
Delhi government has come up with an initiative for Delhi government schools to have a happiness curriculum from nursery to class VIII. This holistic education will begin from 2 July 2018 and would be launched by Dalai Lama, as confirmed by deputy chief minister, Manish Sisodia.
This curriculum is going to be introduced at each government school by July end, covering around eight lakh students. The main focus of this curriculum is on meditation, moral teaching and mental exercises, with the aim of turning students into good human beings, said the education ministry.
Mr Sisodia, Education Minister of Delhi, confirmed that “Delhi government had sought and received the centre permission to invite Dalai Lama for the event.”
