Want to Start 2017 by Earning Good Karma? Join the 1st Ever Social Media FoodDrive!

SocialMedia FoodDrive

Did you know that you have been a knight in shining armor all this while? Yes, I’m talking to you, dear Netizen. You, who has opened him/herself to the internet and become a part of countless movements. You, who has used the internet not just to look at funny cat GIFs but also to get your voice heard, to hear every voice that tries to be heard.

It’s time to get your armor up again because Responsenet (http://responsenet.org/) has announced the 1st ever “SocialMedia FoodDrive”, and YOU are in charge. Here’s what we’re talking about:

Most of us who have access to social media, come from a place of privilege. We realise the importance of the smallest of things. We are aware of the fallacies in our systems and most importantly, in this day and age, we are the ones who seek change. This is where this FoodDrive becomes instrumental.

The first ever SocialMedia FoodDrive is an endeavour to feed 10,000+ beneficiaries one hot, nutritious meal every single day.

How it works:

This festive season, Responsenet has invited all social media lovers to join hands with them to spread smiles on distressed faces by feeding empty stomachs. You simply have to donate packaged raw rice or/and masoor dal to your nearest Food Collection center between 8am to 8pm.

Their FoodAngels will disburse the collected food to their 50+ feeding partners (schools/ widow shelters/destitute homes) to feed the beneficiaries one wholesome meal every single day.

What you gain:

Apart from warm fuzzy feelings, you get to feel proud about your contribution and declare it to the world by posting “I transitioned the year by donating (X amount of Y) to the “SocialMedia FoodDrive” powered by Responsenet”. Don’t forget to tag them!
