Are you that person who had always loved to be with people who breathe writing and books? Do you always feel like the world would be a better place had there been more people who could appreciate the power of the pen? Had it been your childhood dream to write at least one novel before you die? Then the Jaipur Literature Fest is the place for you to be. Drop all other engagements, and mark your calendar from 21st January to 25th January, for the literary bonanza is not much far away.
Here are five reasons as to why you can not miss out on JLF 2016:

2). The Speakers
This year, you can listen to Margaret Atwood, Stephen Fry, Ruskin Bond, Niall Ferguson, Steve McCurry, Simon Winchester, William Dalrymple, etc. along with a number of other legendary people. You read the names right; now who can stop you from going? With topics involving issues like migration, partition, modernity, privacy, conflict and the Middle-East etc. the sessions with the speakers will certainly leave an impact upon you.
We (will) deeply delve into three areas of world literature we have so far failed to explore-notably the novelists and poets of Balkans, the Caribbean and central America-while returning to examine eternal classics such as the work of Shakespeare, Proust and Andal. We will explore a vast range of subjects-from Neanderthals to hedge fund managers; the bleak depths of depression to the heights of the Silk Road; universal myths of the deluge to the literature of the Sandinistas; Jamaican rap and medieval mystic poetry…
