“Eulogising a year full of community service and spreading awareness , SAMARPAN ’16 certainly did justice to its theme “Let the urge to service begin”, as it touched upon various facets of social responsibility during its successful 3- day run from 11th to 13th February through an amalgam of various competitions and performances, including the Social B plan competition, Video Making competition , the Treasure hunt and Best photography competition, intellectual sessions, and campaigning drives.
Day 1 of the fest featured a Freeze mob among other things, themed at breaking free from the preconceived notions of the society towards menstruation. The capstone of the fest was the NSS Convention which featured an interactive session with Dr. Girish Tutija, Director , Ministry of Youth affairs and Sports and Mr. Clement Chauvet, Chief of skills and Business development , United Nations.
