The Vivivekananda School of Journalism and Mass Communication successfully concluded the 14th edition of SPANDAN – The Largest Media Fest in Delhi early this week.The three-day extravaganza witnessed a grand turnout of more than 700 participants from various colleges of Delhi. There were an array of events planned throughout to ensure enthusiasm based learning coupled with fun and frolic on the theme “Ehsaas Bharat Ka” .
The fest began with the Inauguration Ceremony followed by Media Panchayat in the Vivekananda Auditorium. Followed by film screening of the movies The Fall by Archit Thukral and Mehram by Zoin Anwar. The day ended with an enthralling traditional dance and music performance.
The second day saw a wide palate of activities for everyone, from dance enthusiasts to theater junkies, from pixel lovers to gym freaks. The day kicked off with a Film screening of Resurgence by Dr. Ankit Sharma. Also held Doodle Workshop, Photography Workshop, Ad Workshop, Theater Workshop, News Presentation Workshop and a few more to continue with. Along with the delight of learning the day offered an array of opportunities for the participants to indulge in some fierce and healthy competition. The center of attraction for the day were MOS – Group Dance Competition and Nazakat – The Fashion Show wherein teams from various elite colleges in Delhi competed against each other. The excitement and the level of competitiveness was very evident on the faces of the participants as they were giving their best. Such elegance and impeccable performance was appreciated and both the events were truly a treat to the eyes of the spectators. The day concluded with the EDM Night by DJ Myris wherein the students had a lovely time dancing on the hit beats of the season.
The third day kicked off with X – Factor, a talent hunt judged by Harsh Beniwal. The day further unwrapped a collection of activities which included One Minute Film Making, Cinematography Workshop, Digital Marketing, Designing workshop, Crossfit, Face Painitng, Suno Aur Banao – The Painting Competition, Development Journalism Workshop, Comic Quiz to name a few. The highlight of the day was Funny Side Up – The Stand Up Comedy Event wherein all the participants tickled the nerves of the audience with their witty personalities and one liners. Followed by Spandan Unplugged which saw participants enthral the audience with their melodious voices and instrumental music.
The entire three gala came to an end with a Star Night which witnessed the performance by Tatva K, one of the leading music composers.
Overall, the entire extravaganza brought in a lot of joy and vibrant energy as the hard work and dedication of the students, participants and the staff made it a thundering success.
