100 In-Sync for the Bollywood Maestro- Amit Trivedi


The voice behind Shandaar, Love You Zindagi, Suno Aisha, Ud-Daa Punjab, Pashmina and Meethi Boliyaan; the 37-year old changing the face of Bollywood music is Mr. Amit Trivedi.

The winner of a National Award and the prestigious R.D Burman Award in only a matter of a few years has become a real trendsetter. His strong, rustic voice has made him stand apart in a swarm of generic artists.

Recognizing his enormous contribution in the music industry, a group of 59 Public Relations & Corporate Communication students from one of the most prestigious communication institutes in the country are attempting something that no other college has ever imagined in this country. Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC) brings to you for the first time ever 100 Musicians In-Sync for Amit Trivedi at ISTORIA In-Sync 5.0. These are aspiring instrumentalists and vocalists from various music schools, colleges or performers who have come together to celebrate the music of Amit Trivedi. The idea is to celebrate music by providing over 100 talented and passionate musicians, united by art, an opportunity to come together and pay a tribute to the much celebrated Bollywood musical director, composer and singer Amit Trivedi! The show will be directed and coordinated by the multi-talented Prince Mulla who has worked with the likes of A R Rahman, The Bollywood Music Project, Coke Studio etc. He is also a part of an equally talented band called Redwired who will also be performing at the event.



After four years of successfully synchronising talent to weave a legacy of storytelling, the Public Relations and Corporate Communication batch of Xavier Institute of Communication is back with yet another tale, ISTORIA, only this time the story is to be told through the universal language of music. Through the changing years and faces of the Public Relations and Corporate Communication batch of XIC, what has remained common is the coordination to bring alive the magic of stories. This has been done every year at the iconic St. Xavier’s quadrangle, for their annual and the only PR event of the country. Istoria has seen the presence of esteemed dignitaries like Anupama Chopra, Atul Kasbekar, Suchitra Pillai and Imtiaz Ali among many others. Every year the students try to take it a notch higher and aim at offering a night of entertainment and fun. The last year’s theme was ‘The Filmy Cocktail’ which celebrated the Indian and Hollywood cinema.  Like every year, this year too, we have stories that need to be heard, a stage eager to showcase promising talent and PR skills waiting to craft success stories.

XIC ranks among the biggest non-government media centers in Asia, and third among the mass media colleges of the country, as surveyed by Outlook India. It has also been ranked 6th in Post Graduate Media School category by The Edutainment Awards.

Mr. Rajeev Chawla, the course head of the PR & Corporate Communication batch at XIC said, “It is with pride that our Public Relations batch at XIC is putting up the Istoria show this year. The show is replete with a vision as always and this year it showcases young and budding music talent in the country. In yesteryear’s it has showcased Indian Cinema (Bollywood) and its glory. The professionalism and intensity with which the students put up this show is commendable and it can be compared with any of the Events done by professional Entertainment and Event management firms. The Event will surely go a long way in fostering the need to bolster young artistes in music to the front. I wish the Event and the Batch great success and look forward to it.” At the same time the extremely hopeful and determined chairpersons of Istoria 2017- Kokil Sachdeva and Neha Munshi say, “Through 100-InSync-an ode by the 100 musicians to Amit Trivedi, we are attempting something that has never happened before in our country. And as fascinating it might sound, to make it possible is anything but easy. But when has anything remarkable ever been easy?”
