Manish Narayan, one of the founders, explains that although there are 18 million hearing-impaired people, only 250 ‘certified’ interpreters exist to cater to their needs.

The app meant for Indian sign language users, currently guides you around 3 monuments in Delhi – Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb and Red Fort through both short and long tours.

The students have made it user-friendly with a lot of services like having Videos in Indian sign language with English subtitles to watch the video before you visit each monument, among other features.

The team, for testing the initial reaction, had taken a group of deaf people alongwith an interpreter from the National Association of Deaf (NAD) before launching the app.

It is available for: Android (free)
