If you’re a DU aspirant, you should know that only one online application per candidate will be accepted for the forthcoming undergraduate admissions.
This step has been taken considering that last year, out of the 3.5 lakh candidates who registered for various undergraduate courses, 30,000 filed more than one application. Also, under the possible new admission policy for 2017-18, Aadhaar card no. will be mandatory for registrations.
According to a member of the admission committee, candidates fill more than one form because of various reasons. If the connection crashes while filling the online admission form, many fill a second one. Others do it to rectify their mistakes, while some want to be doubly-sure about the submission of their application. But a time window will be given this time, during which you can rectify any mistakes and submit again.
The procedure is at the recommendation stage, however, and a final decision is yet to be taken.
