“Before the battle of the fist, comes the battle of the mind.”
Today’s youth understands it very well and exhibits its opinion on the world stage, ceremoniously.
Belgrade Model European Union (BEUM), an interactive simulation enrolling University level students, serves as a platform to present the opinions of the youth on the current crisis in Europe and invites 300 students from 50 countries to come and participate in one of the greatest conferences among its kind. Students from immensely diverse backgrounds will be gathering in Belgrade, Serbia from 26th to 30th October 2016 to be part of the 6th edition of the largest Model European Union in the world – Belgrade Model EU (BEUM 2016).
BEUM is all about establishing connections among young professionals, exchanging different ideas and sharing impressions with students from different cultures and with varied languages.
Great opportunities seldom knock; so why miss a chance to learn about how the European Union really functions? BEUM 2016 will revolve around the main topic: “Europe in Crisis” and will be held in the premises of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. Participants will take the roles of EU countries; Ministers, MEPs as well as lobbyists and journalists. They will directly learn about EU legislation, EU agenda, EU policy-making, public speaking skills, worrisome international issues and much more.
Moreover, apart from representing certain roles at the simulation, students will also have the opportunity to share their own opinions on the crisis in Europe with the relevant experts on the first day of the conference, during the organized panel discussions. Intriguing much?
The delegations participating in the conference are obligated to apply before 15th October 2016 on http://www.belgrade-meu.org/apply-now/.
So, why the wait?
