Shiv Nadar University is going to organize its first ever TEDx conference i.e. TEDxShivNadarUniversity on 13th November and with the lineup of speakers promised, you might have to try real hard to keep your excitement in check!
Let’s have a look at them now, shall we?
Who doesn’t really know Pernia Qureshi? As the woman behind Sonam Kapoor’s chic look in the critically acclaimed movie Aisha (2010), Pernia oozes exuberance and is the quintessential stylist. A trained Kuchipudi dancer and a disciple of the renowned Raja Radha Reddy, Qureshi started her career in New York as a fashion stylist and costume designer. Apart from having worked as a stylist for Harper’s bazaar, Elle and Conde Nast, her website, Pop-up Shop showcases the works of over 100 designers.
Staying true to their aim of having speakers from diverse walks of life, the next speaker at TEDxShivNadarUniversity is an EDM artist who has been supported by tastemakers such as Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Nicky Romer, Afrojack, Dash Berlin and many more. Yes, we are talking about DJ and music producer Kerano. Born and raised in Delhi, his debut track, a collaboration with Tom Swoon released on Ultra and hit #4 on Beatport PH. Since then, there has been no looking back for this Dilli da munda. His latest release on Armada, a collaboration with Jochen Miller went into the Beatport Top10 at #3.
A self-proclaimed food geek, Anahita Dhondy is the youngest female chef in the country. An alumnus of the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu, London, she did her training from The Bombay Baking Company at JW Marriott. Fighting her way up in a male dominated industry, Anahita has achieved what very few would even dare to dream at such a small age. Today, she is the Chef Manager at NCR’s first Parsi restaurant: The SodaBottleOpenerWala, and as a woman, I can’t help but feel proud of her achievements.
Perhaps the most awaited of them all, Udayan Baijal is a producer at the Jamun Collective, an independent film production house dedicated to creating stories that are visually engaging, thought provoking and relevant. He has assisted in several international projects like Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark 30, Christopher Nolan’s Batman-The Dark Knight Rises, Ang Lee’s Life of Pi, and Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire.
