The staff and students of various international institutions have come out in support of Jawahar lal Nehru (JNU) students, and the student union’s president Kanhaiya Kumar. Students from notable universities like the University of California- Berkeley and Yale University are uploading their videos online on Kanhaiya’s speech in English, the same speech which was tagged as seditious.

These students have spoken up in support of JNU students in their videos, and have narrated Kanhaiya’s speech.
Eleanor Newbigin from the University of London, says in her video, “I have never been a student of JNU but I have interacted with students from the University. I am narrating an excerpt from Kanhaiya’s ‘seditious’ speech.’ ”
“We challenge the RSS’s definition of justice. We say your vision of justice has no place in it for our vision of justice. We will believe in freedom and justice on that day when every person is freely able to exercise constitutional rights,” Dora Zhang and Damon Young from the University of California-Berkeley, said in a joint video.
