The process will be outsourced, since it is the first time in DU’s history for the entrance to go online. This, however means that the application process for masters will be delayed by nearly a month. PG/MPhil/PhD application process generally starts in the first half of April, but according to a TOI report, the process is now unlikely to start before May.

“The online entrance for masters and research programmes will be like a pilot project before its probable extension to the undergraduate courses next year,” said a senior official of the examination branch of DU.

The entrance tests will also be used for selected undergraduate modules such as BEd, Law, BA (Hons), Bachelor of Business Studies, Business Economics, and Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis, admissions for which are based on entrance exams. As per the plans the online tests will consist of multiple choice questions, with a duration of two hours. Every day the tests will be conducted in three shifts between 8am and 6pm, across 18 cities.
